Co-Chief Operating Officer

Mitchell Palmer is our Co-Chief Operating Officer and joined Aussie Industries’ family team with 15 years’ experience in waste management including posts at Veolia, Suez, and URM.

Mitchell is unparalleled at balancing waste management processes, regulations, and industry best practices with our mission for continuous improvement and innovation. His strategic thinking and planning has optimised Aussie Industries efficiency in both operations and sustainability.

Mitchell uses deep and abiding data analytics and systems integration to ensure each decision Aussie Industries makes is backed up by robust business intelligence as well as maintaining a commitment to Aussie Industries’ environmental responsibilities as well as upholding our stellar reputation for excellence in all facets of the business.

Nansi Philips

Co-Chief Operating Officer

Nansi is a driving force within Aussie Industries business, having played a pivotal role since the organisation’s inception. Her leadership has been instrumental in establishing and implementing key policies, systems, and procedures from the earliest days of the business.

Through her visionary guidance, she has cultivated a strong organisational culture that prioritises the training and development of its staff, ensuring they remain at the forefront of industry standards. Nansi’s unwavering commitment to excellence continues to contribute to the company’s success on a daily basis.

Leon Roussakis

Head of Recycling

Leon Roussakis is our Head of Recycling and has a profound understanding and knowledge of recycling and waste management processes, which spurs on his passion for innovation in the recycling space and broader circular economy.

He is responsible for a core tenet of our company’s offering – recycling and resource reclamation. He supervises the whole recycling business, collaborating closely with logistics to increase resource recovery. Leon’s project management abilities enable seamless operations and constant progress in recycling initiatives, making him a passionate environmental advocate among the like-minded at Aussie Industries.

Adam Moustakas

Workplace Health and Safety Compliance Manager

Adam Moustakas is our Workplace Health and Safety Compliance Manager, overseeing all aspects of safety and compliance, as well as maintaining our ISO accreditation for safety.

Adam oversees all of Aussie Industries’ training and hazard reduction initiatives, encompassing the health and safety of our professional team, drivers, and our stakeholders. Adam is responsible for coordinating our Work Health and Safety as well as environmental control systems.

Since 2018, he transitioned into this current role, establishing a comprehensive safety framework while fostering a positive workplace safety and health culture.

Drew Robinson

Fleet Manager

Drew Robinson is our Fleet – Driver Manager, overseeing Aussie Industries’ comprehensive fleet of trucks – one of the largest fleets for waste management operations in NSW.

Over a remarkable near three-decade career in the Australian Defence Force, Drew demonstrated exemplary leadership skills and strategic, forward thinking during his service, infusing that into his role at Aussie Industries. Since joining our team in 2021, he oversees all aspects of fleet management, including recruitment, training, route planning, and compliance.

Amee Majmudar

Finance Manager

Amee Majmudar is our Finance Manager, assisting with all aspects of finance and accounting operations at our group of companies.

She possesses 15 years of finance experience, as well as overseeing financial operations, compliance monitoring, and providing strategic guidance.

Holding a diverse and high-quality educational background and a wealth of field experience, Amee excels in financial reporting, maintains vendor and client relationships, and optimises budgeting for financial stability and cost-efficiencies within the firm.

Chief Financial Officer

Ana Sevo is the Chief Financial Officer of Aussie Industries, joining the family in 2016. She brings over a quarter century of experience in transformative growth, revenue-boosting, and regulatory compliance. 

As CFO, Ana leads innovative stewardship over all our accounts and financial affairs of our various companies and entities. Hewing to the mission and vision for continuous improvement, Ana has optimised the performance and processes of our various operations, adding value to our company, and delivering more to our stakeholders.
